In Loving Memory of Staton Arthur Clark Staton Arthur Clark, 61, of Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully on August 8 2026 at George Washington University Hospital surrounded by family. He was born on July 26, 1965, in Washington, D.C., to the late Marie Clark and Ernest Clark Jr. Staton was a proud product of the Washington, D.C. school system. He later dedicated his talents and service to the District of Columbia government, where he continued his commitment to serving his community and the people around him. Staton was a man of faith, wisdom, kindness, and community. He had a deep love for God and was his faithful servant, he also found great joy in being of service to others. Through his work with the DC Dream Center, Staton dedicated himself to serving and uplifting his community. Helping others and making a difference in the lives of those around him brought him great fulfillment. He donated to the Ronald McDonald House. Those who knew Staton will remember him for his remarkable wisdom and knowledge about life. He had a way of making people feel welcome and comfortable. He was easygoing, warmhearted, and truly never met a stranger. His presence, conversations, and genuine concern for others will be deeply missed. Staton also had a passion for riding motorcycles, which brought him a sense of freedom and joy. He was a devoted family man and a beloved companion to his pet, Hannibal. Staton was preceded in death by his parents, Marie Clark and Ernest Clark Jr.; his brother, Ernest Clark III; his grandfather and namesake, Arthur Clark; and his beloved pet, Hannibal. He leaves to cherish his memory his only daughter, Stacy Clark; his four grandchildren, Terrell Clark, Andre Clark (Sade), Sha’Neya Clark, and Khali Graham; his great-grandson, Jasier; his beloved Uncle John E. Barclay; along with extended family, friends, and countless members of the community whose lives he touched. Staton’s life was a testament to faith, service, kindness, and the importance of treating everyone with compassion. His wisdom, laughter, generosity, and unforgettable spirit will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the legacy he leaves behind will live on through his family, friends, and community. Rest peacefully, Staton. Your work here is done. May you forever ride free in God’s eternal peace.
