Ruben Lee Tindel

RUBEN LEE TINDEL was born on April 7, 1968, in Manning, South Carolina, to Sarah Riley Tindel and Cleveland Tindel Jr. He grew up alongside his brothers, Franklin and Curtis Tindel, and was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools, graduating from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. He continued his studies at Baltimore City Community College. Ruben began his career with the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation as a fingerprint technician, a role he held for many years. When the position was relocated, he chose to continue his work in fingerprinting with the Baltimore City Police Department. Later, he transitioned to the maintenance division at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Raised in a faith-filled home, Ruben was introduced to Christ by his parents. Over the years, he worshipped at New Hope Baptist Church, where he once sang in the choir, and also attended services at Providence Baptist Church, where his parents were members. Ruben had a deep appreciation for technology and spent much of his time with computers. He was a fan of rap music and had a special admiration for the artistry of Prince. Traveling brought him joy, and he enjoyed visiting Miami, Florida; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Virginia; South Carolina; and Atlantic City, New Jersey. A devoted and loving son, Ruben cared for his parents with unwavering dedication. He took great pride in supporting them, accompanying them to medical appointments, and ensuring their needs were met. His kindness and generosity extended beyond his family, touching the lives of many. On February 18, 2025, while at work at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Ruben unexpectedly transitioned to eternal rest. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Cleveland and Sarah Tindel; his brothers, Franklin and Curtis Tindel; his aunts, Estella Brock and Eva Mae Gaters (Sammy Lee); his aunts-in-law, LaVerne Tindel and Viola Riley; his niece, Marisol Baker; and a host of devoted cousins and cherished friends, including Corey Lee and Kevin Jordan, who were like brothers to him. Ruben’s kindness, dedication, and loving spirit will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
