Robert Franklin King Sr.

Brother Robert Franklin King, Sr. (Rob) of Baltimore Maryland departed to his early home of eternal rest on April 10, 2025. Robert was born to his late mother Anna Robinson on March 24, 1951, in Baltimore city. Robert attended Granville T. Woods high school in Baltimore. Due to his upbringing and the passing of his mother at 11 years old, Robert and his siblings had to grow up fast. He did not graduate high school; however, he received his GED which helped shape the great man he became in life. Years later, he met his late wife Casandra Denise King, and she changed his life forever on September 18, 1982. This union was born and lasted for over 30 years. In that process, they had two great sons, Robert and Derron, father and friend. Robert loved talking sports and had stories for days of childhood memories. So much so his sons knew what he was going to say before he finished. They did not mind at the end of the day. He liked having fun amongst friends and family. He and his wife Casandra were an unstoppable spades team in their heyday. He was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens as well as the LA Lakers. Baseball was his passion, even convincing his sons to play growing up. He was preceded in death by his wife Casandra Denise King, brother William King and sister Berniece Johnson. Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his sons Robert King Jr., Fort Washington, MD; Derron King, Randallstown, MD; Daughter in law Yokimia Tuggles King, Fort Washington, MD; granddaughter Aimikoy San’ Miya King, Fort Washington, MD; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends that will greatly miss Robert and his spirit.
