Ezekiel C. Asiegbu

With hearts full of love and gratitude we celebrate the life of Mr. Ezekiel Asiegbu, who entered eternal rest on April 17th, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Isiekenesi, Ideato south, Imo state of Nigeria, Ezekiel was a man of unwavering faith, quiet strength, and deep compassion. From his earliest days in a close faith, quiet strength, and deep compassion. From his earliest days in a close-knit community, he personified humility, wisdom, and a passion for service. His thirst for knowledge and commitment to doing good became the cornerstone of a well-lived life. Faith formed the foundation of his life. A devoted Christian and active member of his church, he found joy in worship, fellowship, and service. Through seasons of abundance and moments of hardship, his faith in God’s promises remained steadfast and guiding light that hardship, his faith in God’s promises remained steadfast and guiding light that inspired and uplifted all who knew him. As a devoted husband, his marriage to Victoria (née Okwaraogoma) was built on mutual respect, enduring love, and shared faith. Together, they created a home grounded in kindness, welcome, and grace. Ezekiel’s generosity of spirit reached far beyond the walls of his walls of his home, leaving a permanent mark on neighbors, friends, and his broader community both in America and Nigeria. As a loving father, Ezekiel led by example—instilling values of compassion, diligence, and integrity. His children were shaped by the steadiness of his guidance, the gentleness of his encouragement, and the unwavering protection he offered through life’s challenges. His laughter warmed hearts, and his wisdom ignited the path for those around him. He leaves behind a legacy not measured in material wealth but in the countless lives he touched. His memory endures in the laughter of his grandchildren, the kindness he showed to strangers, and the timeless lessons he gifted to family and community. He is fondly remembered by his beloved wife, Victoria, his seven children, Stella, Uchenna (Uchechi), Chioma, Kenneth, Chikaodi (Tonia), Chinonso (Chinelo), and Chimaobi; nine grandchildren: Nnenne, Brian, Brianna, Eric, Victoria, Zina, Zanna, Elizabeth, and Zikanna, as well as in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and others whose lives he touched with quiet grace and dignity. Ezekiel will be remembered for his warm smile, steadfast heart, and unwavering devotion to faith, family, and community. His life was a testament to love in action, and his memory will continue to inspire, comfort, and guide those privileged to have known him.
