Dwight Anthony Jackson

Dwight Anthony Jackson, the second child of the late Jacqueline and Arthur “Sonny” Jackson, Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland, was born on February 6, 1952. On October 13, 2025, God, in His infinite wisdom, quietly and peacefully called him home to rest after a long and courageous battle with cancer. In his final days, Dwight was surrounded by the love, care, and presence of his family—held close by those who meant the most to him. From an early age, Dwight’s light shone brightly. He attended St. Mark Catholic School in Catonsville and St. Ambrose Catholic School in Pimlico before graduating from Baltimore City College High School in 1971. He later attended Morgan State College (now University), where his curiosity drew him to the natural sciences. Dwight was industrious by nature. As a boy, he worked in a candy store, helped his father on his milk truck, and sold newspapers—always eager to contribute and to share his earnings with his mother. He carried that same drive into adulthood, working in car sales and later serving as a quality control supervisor at McCormick, Quest International, and Unilever. Even after retirement, he stayed active—driving shuttles to BWI Airport and vehicles for Manheim Auto Auction, always finding joy in staying connected to people and purpose. A true entrepreneur, Dwight believed in making his own way. He built multiple streams of income through window washing, car detailing, painting, and “flipping” cars. He found satisfaction in discovering value where others overlooked it—a reflection of his creativity, curiosity, and resilience. Dwight had a sharp wit, a magnetic presence, and a laugh that could fill any room. He loved reading, writing, and challenging others to a good game of chess. He rarely passed up a chance to travel, visiting Canada, Guatemala, Tanzania, the Virgin Islands, Aruba, the Bahamas, and Jamaica. A proud Baltimore Ravens fan, he rooted for his team with unshakable loyalty. His love of music was wide and soulful—Jazz, Blues, R&B, Folk, and Soul accompanied every chapter of his life. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose generosity and wisdom shaped countless lives. He cherished deep conversations, family gatherings, and the laughter of his grandchildren. Dwight was preceded in death by his son Rashad, his grandson Mason, and his brother Arthur Jackson III. He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory his children Pharrah, Julian, and Cody (Kina); his grandchildren Brandon, Andre, Carter, and Callie; his sister Kathy; his niece Thais; and a host of family and friends who will forever carry his warmth and humor in their hearts.
