Delois Byrd Lee

Delois Byrd Lee AKA "Lois" was born on October 5, 1941 to the late Olin and Willie Mae Byrd. She departed this life on Monday, June 29, 2020 peacefully in her sleep. She goes home to be with her four sisters -Jannie, Irene, Mildred, Wilhelmina; two brothers - Robert and Olin Jr., and a niece Cheri waiting with open arms. "Lois" as everyone called her was educated in the public schools of Washington, DC where she grew up. She held numerous jobs in the government at the Department of Labor and the Government printing office before retiring after 25 years of service. Lois was married to Ronald Lee, Sr and from that union birth two sons, Ronnie Jr and Donnell. It was because of her son Donnell that she started attending Righteous Church of God (RCG). It was at RCG that she accepted Christ in 2013 and became a member. She attended church there before coming ill. She loved hearing the adult choir sing, where her son was a member. Lois loves watching scary movies and talking on the phone to her good girlfriends, Ms. Anne and Ms. Maddie. Lois enjoyed life before taking ill that required her to have special care. We thank the wonderful nurse staff at Woodbine Nursing home for taking good care of her until the Lord called her home to be with him. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Ronald, Jr., a loving care-taker son Donnell, a brother-James Bryd(Betsy), a sister-Joan Jackson, a Aunt -Lizzie Nash of South Carolina along with fivegrand-children, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends. everyone called her was educated in the public schools of Washington, DC where she grew up.
