Clinton E. Weems

Clinton Ernest Weems, Jr. was born on January 4, 1948, in Washington, D.C., the only child of the late Clinton Ernest Weems, Sr. and the late Mattie Olivia Millard. He went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Clinton was raised in Washington, DC and lived in the DC metropolitan area all his life. He graduated from Eastern High School in 1966. Clinton served in the United States Marine Corp and was an honorable Veteran of the Vietnam War. After serving his country as a Sargent in the military, he continued with civilian service being employed by the U. S. Department of Treasury. Later, he worked as a bus operator for the Montgomery County Transit Authority until his retirement several years ago. Clinton Jr. was an avid Redskins fan who enjoyed watching his team on Sunday afternoons. He owned an extensive vinyl records music collection and appreciated listening to traditional jazz and blues. Clinton also enjoyed outings in the park  whether for birthdays, special occasions or just because it was a nice day. Clinton’s family and friends will fondly remember his thoughtful holiday cards and greetings. Clinton loved the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and was baptized. Brother Weems was a member of and regularly attended From the Heart Ministries® in Suitland, Maryland. He was a member of the faith community’s Prayer and Ministerial team. He would share his knowledge of God’s amazing grace, mercy and power with anyone with an open heart and a willingness to listen. Clinton was a wonderful husband, proud father of 5 children and granddad of 4, and a dedicated and loyal friend to many. He will be greatly missed  but we take comfort in knowing that he is in a better place and that he is free of pain  resting in the arms of God. We thank God for his presence in our lives’ and will always treasure our time with him and everlasting memories of him. He leaves to honor and cherish his memory, wife, Deborah Weems; children, Clinton III (Penny), Carlton Eric, Angela , Kevin and Ashley; grandchildren, Olivia, Kayla, Isaiah, and Mia; step-children Lakecia and Provine; daughter of the heart Tamica; and a host of relatives and dear friends.
