Catherine Mary Robinson

On June 12th, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland, CATHERINE MARY BROWN ROBINSON was born to the late Samuel and Margaret Brown. She was the sixth of eight children. On an early spring morning of April 28th, 2025, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called His beloved Catherine, home to be with Him forever in glory. Catherine was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She was a proud alumna of Carver Vocational Technical High School. She studied at the Community College of Baltimore where she obtained her real estate license. In the summer of 1981, Catherine gave her life to Christ and immediately began to work for the Lord. For many years, Catherine served on the Usher Board and the Comforters Ministry at Colonial Baptist Church. She loved worshipping Jesus and studying the word of God. She was an active participant in Sunday School and bible studies. Catherine always took the opportunity to witness to others about the love of Jesus Christ. Catherine had a career in real estate that expanded over thirty years. She had a great love for helping people to obtain home ownership. She was a real estate agent at Century 21 Associated and S. Lee Martin Realty. Her career in real estate led her to embark on another career in property management. She began her career in property management at Forest Heights Apartments in Baltimore, Maryland. She went on to work at two seniors citizen buildings Center Place and Park Heights Place. It was at Center Place that her meticulous attention to details and hard work were discovered. She was promoted to property manager of Park Heights Place. In 1999, she was honored as Property Manager of the year. Catherine retired in 2006. Catherine firmly believed that it was better to give than to receive. After retirement, Catherine served as a foster care parent to children from the age of one to four years of age. Her little ones affectionately called her "godmother”. She showered her little ones with lots of attention, hugs, and kisses. She enjoyed taking them for walks, reading bible stories, and sharing prayer time. When it came time for the children to return home, they were sad to live their godmother. Catherine leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved husband of 61 years, David Robinson Sr.; her loving and devoted children, Kelley, David II, and Kyle (one cherished daughter-in-law, Tameka); two devoted sisters, Emily Brown (Newport News, Va) and Corrine Putnam (Columbus, Ohio); and a host of nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by five brothers, Samuel Jr., James, Mason, David, and Ulysees; and one sister, Thelma.
