Bishop Tyler Greene

Introduction BISHOP TYLER GREENE was born on October 17, 1994, in Towson, Maryland, to proud parents Shawntey William Greene and John Edward Greene, Jr. He was raised in Baltimore, Maryland, where he attended St. Mary's of the Assumption from pre-k3 through middle school, and later Cardinal Shehan School. Bishop began high school at Towson Catholic High School and graduated from Baltimore Lutheran High School. He went on to attend Baltimore County Community College, where he studied Computer Science. Bishop’s first job was at Sam’s Club, where he sold cellular phones. He later worked at M&T Bank before beginning his career with the Social Security Administration, where he was employed until his illness. On April 12, 2025, Bishop married the love of his life, Catherine Anek Early Greene. Together, they purchased their first home on June 6, 2025, and welcomed an American Bulldog puppy into their family, lovingly named Ace Greene. On December 11, 2025, Bishop Tyler Greene was diagnosed with leukemia at GBMC. He was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital on December 12, 2025, where he courageously fought for his life. On the evening of December 19, 2025, Bishop was called home by our Lord and Savior. From Bishop’s Wife Bishop was my perfect husband and a beautiful gift from God. From the day we met on 10/13/2018, he made sure I felt deeply loved through both his words and his actions. Our wedding was the best day of our lives. Bishop showed his love in everything he did. At home, he was a true provider and caretaker- always fixing things, helping with chores, and making sure I was cared for without ever needing to ask. He protected, supported, and encouraged me daily. No matter how big the room was, we were always side by side, and being with him made our home feel warm, peaceful, and complete. Bishop was loving, intelligent, patient, kind, loyal, hardworking, and deeply devoted. He went out of his way to make sure I was safe, comforted, and cherished. His love made me feel confident, worthy, and unconditionally valued. Because Bishop believed in me, I believed in myself. Above all, Bishop loved God. We read the Bible together every night, and he lived a life guided by faith, kindness, forgiveness, and grace. His love for God is the reason I never lost faith, even after his passing. Through Bishop, I learned how to love more deeply and live more faithfully. Bishop found joy in hiking, space, video games, comics, and basketball – especially cheering for LeBron James. He lived with curiosity, gentleness, and joy, and he loved wholeheartedly. I am forever grateful that God allowed me to experience Bishop’s love. His presence changed my life, and his love remains with me forever. From Bishop’s Mother As my son, Bishop, you were more than any mother could ever hope for and be proud of. You never hesitated to express your love, honor, and devotion while reflecting on the values you were raised with. Not a single day went by without a phone call, checking in on how I was doing and reminding me to call if I needed or wanted anything’. Your thoughtfulness and compassion were true reflection of your kind, generous, loving and godly character. Bishop, you are truly blood of my blood and flesh of my flesh, my son, my only child, and one of my best friends! From the moment God entrusted you to my care, to the moment the Lord called you home, my love for you has been beyond words. I cherished every season of your life and every moment we shared, from teaching you how to drive or simply sitting together watching Nickelodeon Sitcoms or Good Luck Charlie on the Disney Channel.
