October 31, 1931 - August 14, 2021
Pauline Patricia White Carter was born September 18, 1931 in Ridgeway, South Carolina to the late Daniel Lisbon and Alice Martin White. She was called to eternal rest a month shy of her 90th birthday on Saturday, August 14, 2021 with her three children at her side. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a dedicated member of New Bethany Baptist Church in September 1965. She was a dedicated member of the Flower Ministry and Acapella Choir. As church member for more than 55 years she became a senior saint favorite. Sis. Carter was an excellent cook starting from the tender age of seven. She was usually the first to arrive at Sunday School every week. She pridefully wore stunning hats every Sunday. Sis. Carter was giving strong testimony anytime she stood to applaud the music. Sis. Carter knew the birthdays of every member of the church. She had a great sense of humor and liked giving nicknames to special friends. She was an avid gardener and a feisty conversationalist about politics. Her favorite color was light blue, her favorite verse was Psalms 27:1, her favorite songs are too numerous to list and her favorite saying was, “Don’t forget to pray.”Sis Carter will be sorely missed. Pauline is survived by her brother Caesar White (Anneliese) of Silver Hill, MD and sister Alice C. White of Ridgeway, SC. She leaves to cherish her memory: her children Henry T. Carter, Jr. (Sheila) of Temple Hills, MD, Barbara Carter Allen of Beltsville, MD and Larry B. Carter of East Orange, NJ. Nine grandchildren, Jermaine Warren of Temple Hills, MD, Michele Bell (Darnell) of Waldorf, MD, Marcus Carter of Temple Hills, MD; Sean A. Allen (Lauren) of Clinton, MD; Rashim Carter (Orien) of East Orange, NJ; Chanti Carter-Rene’ (Carl) of East Orange, NJ, Katrina Carter of Hartford, Connecticut, Lawrence B. and Jayson D. Carter of East Orange, NJ. Seven great-grandchildren include Bishop Williams, DeMarco, Micahl and Xariyah Bell, Olivia and Jerod Carter, Angelina, twins Sabrina and Sadie Rene’ and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
