Iris Bertrand

October 5, 1939 - February 24, 2021

Iris Bertrand born on October 5th, 1939 in Laudat, Dominica. She passed away in the early morning on February 24th, 2021 at FutureCare PineView Rehab Facility in Clinton, MD. She met her loving husband David Bertrand in the late 1960s and they got married on January 7th, 1991. Together they raised a family of six and lived to see great grandchildren. Iris was the perfect mother, grandmother and great grandmother. When her husband left for America she stayed behind to raise the children until they could all join him. She was strong, caring, loving and treated everyone equally. She was a righteous woman that never spoke ill about anyone and was always there to give advice. The love she had for her family was out of this world. We will miss our matriarch who gave us our faith, love of family, and pushed us to be our best selves. Iris has transitioned to join her husband, David and son, Collier. She is survived by her children, Doreen, Carol, Collins, Corinthia, Irena, grandchildren, Alica, Fiona, Daryl, Allison, Annissa, Clemente, Chloe, Denzel, Kaymaya, Seraphina, Dwaine, Keri-lynn, Kamilah, Kendel, Miguel, Denise; great grandchildren Zyelah, Tahaj, Bella, Daryl Junior, Dawson, Dakota, Sharleny, Jan, and Jaceyon; son-in-laws Nelson and Timothy, and other family and friends.
