Esther Ojealaro (nee Okojie)

ESTHER OJEALARO (née OKOJIE), affectionately known as Mama Stan and Mamaze, was born on March 29, 1959, to the family of Raymond Adeh Okojie in Uromi, Esan Northeast Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria. From a young age, Esther displayed a deep sense of compassion and a natural calling to care for others. She attended St. Anthony’s Primary School in Uromi, Unewa Technical College, St. Camillus School of Midwifery, and the School of Nursing in Benin City, Edo State. She became a Registered Nurse, certified by the Dental and Nursing Council of Nigeria. Over the years, she served faithfully in several hospitals including General Hospital Iruekpen, General Hospital Uzebba, General Hospital Orerokpe, and Central Hospital Benin. In 1985, she married her beloved husband, Monday Ojealaro Oikeh of Afuze, Owan East Local Government Area. Together, they built a home founded on love, unity, and unwavering devotion to family. Esther relocated to the United States in February 2000. Her nurturing spirit and commitment to excellence followed her across continents as she continued serving in the healthcare field as both a Registered Nurse and a Nursing Supervisor in various health facilities. In 2016, she retired due to illness, but her joyful spirit remained undimmed. She was a woman of joy, wisdom, and warmth. She loved watching the news, shopping, cooking, reading, and spending precious time with her family. She was a pillar of love and strength, always supporting her children and grandchildren with encouragement, prayer, and affection. Her family was her pride and joy, and she poured herself into them selflessly. Her kindness, wisdom, and humor made her unforgettable. She formed lasting friendships everywhere she went and left an imprint of love on every life she touched. Esther Ojealaro is survived by her devoted husband, four beloved children, four cherished grandchildren, loving siblings, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and a host of extended family and friends who will forever honor and remember her. After a long illness, the Lord called Esther home on May 5, 2025, at the age of 66 years and 37 days. Though we grieve her passing, we rejoice in the blessed assurance of her rest in the presence of our Savior
