Cusheer M. Murphy

Cusheer Monique Jones Murphy was born November 13,1974 to Delores McKeever Manuel and Steven Jones. She was a beautiful and curious infant that transformed the world as she grew into adulthood. This curiosity led to Cusheer pursuing a number of successful business endeavors. Cusheer has always been extremely intelligent, even in her youth. Having excelled from K - 12 ending her high school academic exploration as a Dove of Western High School. Before graduation in 1992, Cusheer was a part of a host of clubs and received several accolades for her achievements in academia. Cusheer as a lifelong learner, her desire to be more and achieve more landed her at the Strayer University receiving her Bachelor of Science in Marketing and her Master of Business Administration. Cusheer had various jobs in her lifetime, All First Bank, Legg Mason and also co-owner of Chit Chat Media Solutions just to name a few. She was currently employed at Social Security Administration as a Foreign Claims Specialist. From Childhood, Cusheer always knew the value in business ownership. Her first endeavor was vending throughout the weekends at the Patapsco Flea Market. With such quick and robust growth, Cusheer knew that she could achieve more success if she solely focused on building her brand, and her transition into a boutique kiosk "Off the Chain" in Mondawmin Mall began. There is when her beloved brand Exclusively Yours was born. Cusheer spent hours at a time hand crafting and partnering with designers to bring her vision of bold, vibrant fashion to life. Cusheer never believed in going backwards, she believed that every next move should be a step towards something greater. This mentality led her to her greatest business acquisition and landing her own boutique in the heart of the art district on North Charles Street. Taking her beloved brand name with her, Exclusively Yours lived in the heart of downtown for 13 years. Cusheer's dedication to building her brand and legacy still comes up when reflecting on the history of what she brought to Baltimore. Alongside being a courageous businesswoman, trailblazer, and overachiever, Cusheer was also, a sucker for romance. In loving all things love, Cusheer attracted just that in 2000 when she met Devin Murphy who became the love of her life. With years of love, admiration, gentleness, and fun, their union was a representation of God crafting two humans who fit like two perfect puzzle pieces. They married on June 5th, 2011. From this union, they raised three beautiful children, Mauch'e, Jhaki, and Jace. The passion Devin and Cusheer had for creating a life of love, laughter, and growth radiates to this day. As partners in life and in business, Devin and Cusheer embarked upon their business journey together and founded She Nailed It, a home improvement and property procurement company, which is still successful to this day. With Cusheer being the advent learner she has always been, she acquired her real estate license in 2018 where she hung her license with the Harris Hawkins Home Team. The creative and business edge that both she and Kevin possess has allowed them to successfully sell, fix, and flip properties across Baltimore City and County. While Cusheer's legacy of growth reigns on, she leaves to mourn her beloved husband, Devin Murphy; children, Mauch'e Smith, Jhaki, and Jace Murphy; mother, Delores McKeever Manual; father, Bishop Steven Jones (Catherine) Sisters, Jasmine Manuel, Linnel and Alesha Benton, and Andonia Rouse; mother-in-law Cathy Murphy (David Murphy-deceased); brother-in-law Sean Vanhorse (Juilee); godmother Veronica Brown and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends. Cusheer's show stopping personality and winning spirit allowed her to meet many amazing people along her journey in life. If you ever got to be in a room with her, you would instantly be inspired by this incomparable woman who can seemingly do all things. Cusheer fought for everything that she ever wanted, and upon her departure her tenacity shined the brightest as she fought for her life, her legacy, and her family, just to live again. She was a beacon of light, a pillar of love, a fashion icon, and above all a woman of God who trusted that she would always declare a victory on the other side of her journey. In this moment, we remember the woman who is Cusheer Monique Jones Murphy, the wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, business owner, fashion trailblazer, world traveler, Western Dove, and so much more.
