Yvette Felicia Plummer

Yvette Felicia Plummer-Jackson, a devoted woman of faith, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered this life on May 1, 1962 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. On Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 5:03 a.m., God, in His infinite wisdom, called Yvette Plummer to come home to her eternal heavenly resting place. Yvette began her education at Arlington Elementary School and continued through Pimlico Middle School. She later graduated from Northwestern High School in Baltimore City. Her commitment to learning extended into adulthood as she earned an EMT-B Certification from Baltimore City Community College and later a Medical Billing & Coding Certification from Essex Community College. Yvette dedicated her professional life to healthcare, where her compassion and diligence left a lasting impact. She began her career as a patient care technician at Sinia Hospital from 1995 to 1999 and concurrently served in the same role at the University of Maryland Medical Systems (DTC & MTC) from 1996 to 2000. From 2001 to 2004, she worked as a medical assistant at Clinical Associates. In 2005, she returned to Sinai Hospital as a Medical Coding & Billing Specialist, where she remained until her health began to decline. Her colleagues remember her as hardworking, trustworthy, and deeply committed to the well-being of others. In 1986, she met Andrew who would be her lifelong love. On December 22, 2008, they stood before a judge and sealed their union before God A woman of many talents and passions, Yvette was an exceptional seamstress who could create a dress in the morning and wear it out that same evening. She often made custom scrub uniforms for work and clothes for herself and her daughters. Her love for fashion extended into one of her favorite pastimes—shopping. Whether browsing thrift stores or finding treasures at Ross (her all-time favorite), she had an eye for quality and style paired with a knack for bargain hunting. Yvette’s home was always filled with laughter and love. She was known for entertaining guests with delicious meals—cooking being another one of her great joys—and for bringing people together through humor and hospitality. Her personality was magnetic: benevolent, kindhearted, relatable, funny—a true jokester with an empathetic soul. As the oldest sibling in a large family rooted deeply in love and unity. Yvette led with grace and strength. Her nurturing spirit extended to her brothers—she was the only girl amongst six boys—and she embraced each sibling with compassion and strength. This same love extended to her two devoted daughters, Quiana and Qiara. They were indeed the apple of her eye. As well as her grandsons, Shamond, Michal and Mason. Of her many accomplishments, she was most proud to be a “Woman of God”, Yvette’s spiritual journey began at Israel Baptist Church under Reverend H. Walton Wilson II, where she sang in the young adult choir. Later in life, she joined True Gospel Apostolic Faith Church under Bishop Otto Richardson. There she was baptized in Jesus’ name and received the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Yvette served her church in several capacities; she sang in the adult choir; she attended Sunday School faithfully (completing both standard and advanced courses) and earned a certification from the National Sunday School Association to become a teacher. She also found joy in cooking alongside her second mom, Evangelist Yneatha Plummer in the church’s kitchen. Yvette was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jessie and Alice Bishop; father, Norman Plummer Sr.; sister, Deana Plummer; brother, Norman Plummer Jr.; and sister-in-law, Brenda Plummer. Yvette leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband, Andrew Fred Jackson III; her daughters Quiana Wilkins and Qiara Jackson-Crowell (Cecil) and grandsons Shamond Gentry, Michael Ray, Mason Crowell. Her mother Daisey Adams (John); her second mom Yneatha Plummer (Norman); brothers John Adams Jr., Torrence Adams (Tonya), Corey Adams (Starr), Brandon Adams Sr., Anthony Pummer Sr.; nieces Johncia, Karema, Chanell, Danielle, Ashley, Amber, Daisha, Kayla; nephews John-John III, Brandon Adams Jr, Anthony Plummer Jr., Michael Plummer, Terrell Plummer, Lance Plummer; (sister-in-law) Sharon Plummer; cherished cousins Claudette “Choc” Chung, Joeseph “Joe” Bishop, Jessica Miller & Brittany Miller; best friend Angeline Haynes; spiritual Mother Jean Cannon; her True Gospel Apostolic Faith Church Family and many more cousins and friends who were touched by her kindness. Yvette will be remembered not only for what she did but for who she was- a compassionate caregiver, spirited worshipper, loving matriarch, and loyal friend. May the memory of Yvette Felicia Plummer- Jackson bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
