Missionary Justine Littlejohn Sanders

Missionary Justine Littlejohn Sanders was born in Union, SC on July 24th, 1911. She was the first of seven 7 children of Bessie and Fred Littlejohn. She had only one child, Benjamin F. Littlejohn Sr. who preceded her in death in December of 1995. In search of her life?s calling, she left South Carolina and moved to Washington, DC. Once there, with little education and a lot of self determination, she became a valued part of the Nutrition Department Team at the National Institutes of Health NIH in Bethesda, Md. Justine retired from the government after 20 years of dedicated service. While in Washington, DC; the Lord led Justine to her life?s work and the Temple Church of God and Christ now known as Kelsey Temple COGIC. She offered both her life and service to the Lord as HIS faithful servant. ?Missionary Sanders?, as she came to be known, devoted her time to the Missionary board, Radio Gospel Chorus, Young Women?s Christian Council and to any other work that her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ put her hands to do! After a long and full life of 95 years, Missionary Sanders slipped away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, September 30th, to truly ?rest in the Lord? for eternity. Missionary Justine Littlejohn Sanders is survived by two brothers: Charles Littlejohn of SC, James Littlejohn of DC; two sisters: Mildred Brown of SC, Dorothy Foster of NY; one daughter-in-law Oria Littlejohn; five Grandchildren: Runae H. Rouse, Benjamin F. Littlejohn Jr., Jonathan Littlejohn, Denise D. Woodfolk, and Joel Littlejohn; one Granddaughter-in-law: Drema Littlejohn; two Grandsons-in-law: Warren Rouse, Hausey L. Woodfolk III; nine great-Grandchildren, seven great-great-Grandchildren, one great-great-great-Grandchild, one God-daughter all of Washington, DC and a host of other relatives, sisters/brothers in the Lord and friends. God said in John 14:1 ~ ?1 Let not your heart be troubled ? 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.?
