The Celebration of Life for Erik Anthony Kelly On the afternoon of Monday, August 1, 2016, Erik Anthony Kelly departed from this life. Little did we know that afternoon what sorrow the day would bring. The end was sudden, the shock severe, to part with one so dear. Erik Anthony Kelly was born June 20, 1990 in Washington, DC. He attended schools in Washington, DC and Prince Georges County, Maryland. He graduated from Crossland Evening High School. At the age of 8, he joined Greater New St. Paul Baptist Church and was baptized in 1998. He also attended Sunday School and Vacation Bible classes at Takoma Park Baptist Church in Washington, DC. In 1999 he joined the Assembly of the Saints Church in Suitland, MD where he attended services regularly with his family. Erik had many friends and was a natural born leader and was known for being very neat and organized. Erik loved the outdoors. He was very athletic. He enjoyed playing football, taekwondo, track and boxing. He also loved to draw, watch movies and play video games. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving Mother, Jeanette K. Kelly; one loving younger Sister, Kianna Marie Kelly-Futch; Grandmother, Jeannette Kelly; one uncle, Anthony Kelly; four aunts: Deborah Kelly, Cheryl Kelly, Lalani Kelly, Jacquelyn Marshall (Troy Marshall); nine first cousins: Quanda Harrell (George Harrell), Ernest Willoby (Rackeal Harrirs), Lalani Stevens, Stephen Kelly, Darius Kelly, Tiara Marshall, Terrence Kelly, Jahmil Kelly, Jazmine Marshall and Raymond Touya; five second cousins: George Harrell, Joshua Harrell, Autumn Harrell, Elanah Willoby, Elijah Willoby, Emani Willoby and Ty-Jae Marshall-Tansimore; and a host of other relatives and friends.
