Edwin Rosel Marin

Edwin Rosel Marin, (affectionately known as Ed) was born on June 21,1964 in New York City to the Late Lidio Marin and Magda Marin. He was the second of four children who grew up in the South Bronx. Ed was born into an Afro-Latino family from Honduras, Central America. He was first generation Honduran-American. Attended Chelsea High School in Manhattan, then later moved to Washington DC and Baltimore, Maryland. Edwin was known for his hardworking nature and entrepreneurial spirit. He built a career as a truck driver, a profession that allowed him to travel and explore the country while providing for his family. His love for the open road reflected his adventurous and free-spirited personality. In his free time, he loved to enjoy family gatherings and spending time with his granddaughter. A man of humor and generosity, Edwin was always ready with a joke and willing to share whatever he had with those around him. Music was an integral part of his life-he was a child of the 80s and a passionate fan of old-school hip-hop. His love for the genre led him to form a rap group in his youth, The Fly Four MC's, including Eddie-E (himself) alongside his cousin-Dynomite (Benitio) and friends Mr. C, and CB. Above all, Edwin cherished his family. He was a devoted father to his children, London Logan (Sherry Rolle) and Zakari Marshall (Kimmlym Marshall), and a proud grandfather to his beloved granddaughter, Storie Fitzgerald, who brought him endless joy. His family meant everything to him, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments. Edwin leaves behind his loving mother, Magda Marin; his sister, Paula Marin-Horton (Trent); his brothers, Allen Marin (Jacqueline) and Harold Marin; his niece, Jennifer D. Epps (Will); his nephews, Trenel (Tre) A. Horton Sr., Andre Tyler Marin, and TJ Horton Jr.; grandnieces Kennedy & Kameryn Epps; grandnephew Trenel (Boogie) Horton Jr.; and a host of cousins, friends, and colleagues. Edwin's presence, laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed. Though he has left this world, his legacy of resilience, generosity, and joy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
