Delores Evans Jones

DELORES EVANS MCLEOD JONES (Dee) was born on April 16, 1959 to Thelma and James McLeod. She also spent a significant amount of time with her grandfather, Evans Walker “granddaddy.” She attended Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Walbrook Senior High School, later pursuing further education from Coppin State University. From 1995 until 2009, Dee had a career as a Re-use Technician at Davita Dialysis, a job that she was exceptionally good at and enjoyed. She particularly enjoyed loving on and ministering to the patients during their dialysis treatments. Dee was so passionate about her career and work, that she expanded her pursuits in the field by starting her own company “Medical Temp Consulting Staffing Agency”, where she trained and certified others in the Re-use Technician Field and contracted the staff to area dialysis facilities. In her career, she was compassionate, smart, charismatic and business savvy. In her career, Dee owned every room she walked into, was a bright light for the world to see, and was not easily intimidated by anyone. Dee found the Lord Jesus and was born again in 1994. She loved the Lord with all her being. Dee was called to be an Evangelist and had no problem talking to anyone about the Lord or generally talking about anything! She was on fire to reach the lost and exercised her faith by healing the sick and praying in her dedicated Prayer Room, often. Dee would often see in the realms of the Spirit and would share with her family, exciting visions of the Lord Jesus and Angels. She left a legacy of faith and fire to her family, especially to her daughter, who now operates in ministry at her own church. Dee had a passion for inventing and creating new things, like her “Talking Potty” of the 1980’s. She had a way of always thinking outside the box and doing something completely new. Dee was fearless in trying new things and courageous enough to do things she had never seen done before. Dee had a fix to every problem. She also enjoyed writing music, shopping and being fashionable, gardening and lawncare, her dog Nyla, traveling and generally being a “Pioneer Woman” (as she called herself) paving the way. Dee loved and invested into the life of her one daughter, Dartania, and in the life of her 4 young grandchildren, Daniel (11), Joelle (9), Judah (6) and Emmanuel (4). Her grandchildren were her light during hard times, and a source of strength and great happiness. They recount fond memories of going on walks and eating at McDonald’s with “Granny”, a name she picked herself and treasured. Friends and family will remember her as beautiful, strong, bold, fearless, witty, charming and passionate. She truly brought beauty, style and laughter into the lives of everyone she touched. Dee was truly unforgettable, one of a kind, and she will be missed dearly. Dee leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Dartania Bullock; son-in-law, Daniel Bullock; four grandchildren, Daniel Bullock Jr. Joelle Bullock, Judah Bullock and Emmanuel Bullock; seven siblings, Danny Mcleod, Maria Dow, Mattie Mcleod, Janie Mcleod, Jerry Mcleod (Samantha Mcleod), James Mcleod and Mack Mcleod; two goddaughters, Kimberlee Bing and Jordan Mcleod; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death and is now reunited with Thelma and James Mcleod, Evans Walker, Theodore Purnell, Jerome Mcleod, Douglas Mcleod and Vernice Mcleod.
