Chanel Chantel Graham

CHANEL CHANTEL GRAHAM (a.k.a. Nell) was born on December 3, 1980 in West Baltimore on Arunah Avenue in Baltimore City. The beloved daughter of Elder Keith Robinson and Deaconess Ruth Robinson, devoted wife of Kevin Graham and mother of twins Zaria and Zion Graham, Chanel transitioned and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, after a sudden and unexpected death on January 10, 2025. Chanel grew up on the west side of Baltimore, where she received her education through the Baltimore Public School System, excelling academically. She graduated from Lafayette Avenue Elementary School, West Baltimore Middle School, and Western High School, where she was an active member of the cheerleading squad. Chanel continued her education at Villa Julie College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing—a reflection of her lifelong dream to become a nurse. From a young age, Chanel aspired to care for others, and she achieved her goal by becoming a Registered Nurse. Her career was marked by dedication and compassion as she cared for infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Chanel also served at Bethesda Naval Hospital, the University of Maryland GWBM Center, and ultimately as a Charge Nurse at Johns Hopkins and Howard Medical Center. Throughout her career, Chanel was known for her unwavering empathy and kindness, always putting her patients first and treating them with the utmost care and respect. Her passion for nursing left a lasting impact on everyone she served. Chanel’s greatest joys and accomplishments in life were being a devoted wife and mother. She cherished her role as a supportive parent, always present at her children’s school and athletic events. Chanel dedicated herself to ensuring Zion and Zaria thrived in their extracurricular activities, tirelessly driving them to practices and events. She was thrilled to see Zion earn a full athletic scholarship to a Division One college for football, while Zaria excelled as a member of the cheerleading squad for football and basketball. Both Zion and Zaria consistently achieved academic success, maintaining “A/B” grades and earning a place in the Honor Roll Society. Chanel had a vibrant spirit and a love for life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed shopping and roller skating with her cousin Dion and friends, creating cherished memories along the way. Chanel had a passion for traveling, both domestically and internationally, capturing countless photos to commemorate her adventures. She shared a deep bond with her brother, Dana Smith, who preceded her in death. Chanel delighted in cooking for family vacations, attending family gatherings, school reunions, and concerts. She had a special love for gospel music and found joy in sharing uplifting messages and encouragement on Facebook. Chanel’s spiritual journey began at an early age when she joined New Shiloh Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Doctor Harold A. Carter Sr. There, she was baptized, gave her life to the Lord, and received the right hand of fellowship. Later, Chanel and her family became members of New Hope World Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Antonio Diaz Cotto. She brought joy to her parents by faithfully attending services and singing on the Worship Team alongside them. Chanel’s radiant smile and spiritual light illuminated every space she entered, offering hope and warmth to those around her. She was a beacon in a dark world, and her absence will be deeply felt. Our precious loss is Heaven’s gain. To know Chanel was to love her. She held a deep love and respect for her family and parents, always honoring them with her words and actions. Chanel also cherished spending time with her cousins and friends, often enjoying outings and creating lasting memories. She leaves to mourn: her husband, Kevin Graham; daughter Zaria Graham; son, Zion Graham; mother, Deaconess Ruth Robinson; father, Elder Keith Robinson; aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers and a host of friends. She loved her best friends and cousin Dione Pittman and niece Brittany Mable
