Aaron C Brown Jr.

Remembering Aaron Aaron C. Brown, Jr. was born July 15, 1937 in Valdosta, GA to the late Katrena and Aaron C. Brown, Sr. He attended school in Washington, DC and graduated from Howard University. He received a Bachelors of Science degree. Brother Brown was a member of the Church of Christ, and served in numerous capacities. Brother Brown was a very kind person and he loved his family. Aaron was employed at Four Seasons Hotel from which he retired after years of dedicated service. On Sunday, December 16, 2012, Aaron entered into eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his memory, sister, Alice B. Kier of Valdosta, GA; nephew, Horace Kier (Emma) of Tampa, FL; niece, Diane K. Lowe (Ernest) of Valdosta, GA, a host of great nieces and nephews; two aunts, Alberta Boykins of Valdosta, GA and Mary Love Richardson of Bellville, FL; one uncle, Ortis C. Brown of Columbus, GA, and a host of friends and dear neighbors, Kaarina Ricks and Andrew Puck. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the Lord. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of prints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. “Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you the most, you would leave me.” The Lord replied, “My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you.
