Sixto Reggie Riveria

Sixto Reggie Riveria, son of Beatrice Grant (AKA Honey) and Charles Rivera was born on August 4th,1945 in Baltimore MD. He departed from this life on June 18th, 2024. Sixto received his elementary education at School 104 in Baltimore City. He graduated from Monterey High School in Monterey California where he lived. Sixto Riveria gave his life to Christ as a child. He was a member of Simmons Memorial Baptist Church. He later joined Bethel Temple Church of Christ where he was in the security ministry. He was baptized again. Then he became a member of New Psalmist Baptist Church where he attended until his passing. Sixto was employed at City Hospital, Baltimore Public Schools, Bethlehem Steel, Eastern Stainless Steel where he worked 32 years as a steel laborer. He continued to work at Marriott Hotels and Sky Chef for 11 more years. He then retired to live out the rest of his life enjoying what he loved most. Sixto Riveria loved his family and traveling. Sixto and his family were always traveling abroad and locally. When he was young, he lived in Germany and California. He came back to Baltimore to live, work and travel. He traveled far too many places to mention. Some of the places he traveled to were Canada, Boston, Georgia, the Carolinas, Maine, New Haven, Las Vegas, Niagara Falls, Disney and other places in Florida. His last trip was Detroit Michigan (Motown Studios). Even in his last days he wanted to travel. Sixto was a very unique and humorous man., He changed the spelling of his last name by adding a "i" to Rivera (Riveria). He was a man's man and was liked by everyone who met him. He was kind, generous and a gentleman. Sixto Riveria was diagnosed in 2010 with cancer. He chose to take the positive and faith path on healing journey. The cancer went into remission from 2010 to 2022. In 2022 he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He still was a strong and positive man on his journey. He had good days and bad days until his time to go home and be with God. His mother Honey, brother Sonny, sister Frances, Grandson Ammon and step daughter preceded him in death. Her leaves to celebrate his life sister Ray, wife Cynthia, daughter Cheera (Cortez), two sons Anthony and Brian (Latonya), four grandsons Montez, Camal, DaVonte and Carlito, three granddaughters Genesis, Cieara'h and Martina, one great grandson Elija and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives
