Huston Robinson Jr.

HUSTON ROBINSON, JR. was born on March 4, 1938, in Wadesboro, North Carolina to the late Huston and Camilla (Moore) Robinson. He departed this earthly life on August 18, 2024, at his home. Huston attended public schools in New York and later became an orthodontic technician. He transitioned into a self-employed contractor, priding himself in being a “concrete man” and avid builder. As a devout minister of the gospel, he completed the Evangelists Course of Bible Study at the Manhattan Bible Institute of New York in June 1980. He was ordained an Elder commissioned to teach the Word, preach the gospel, and to administer all the sacraments, ordinances, and other functions of the church by “America Come Back to God” Evangelistic Center of Brooklyn, New York in April 1992. He was also licensed to preach the gospel in that same year. Huston enjoyed studying coins, maps, guitars, and atlas trivia. He loved to fish, hunt, and take road trips, particularly to Maryland’s Eastern Shore and Virginia Beach. He relished helping the elderly and the church; donating to various ministries; and giving to the poor, homeless, and anyone looking for a second or third chance. His life was his ministry, as he witnessed about salvation through Jesus Christ in both word and deed. He was quick to offer prayer and speak of the many miracles performed in his own life. He thanked God on every occasion for his family, expressing his heartfelt appreciation for the joy of their presence. A” businessman” who loved a good deal and never met a stranger, Huston will be sincerely missed by everyone who had the pleasure to meet him. He is preceded in death by his siblings: Lowell, LaVerne, Charlie, and Cora. Huston leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife and best friend, Shermaine; daughters Camilla, Andrea, Selina (Chris), Sabrina, and Tracey (Deric); sons Eddie, Bryant, Huston III (Aarinda “Pinky”), and John; grandchildren Brianna (Gawa), Dominique, Aaliyah, Isaiah, Samantha, Christopher “CJ”, Nicholas “Nicky”, Seth, Jordan, and Cole; great-grandchildren Harmony and Jireh; a beloved mother-in-law, Elouise “Meccie” Williams; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, ministers, other relatives, and friends
